works by blocking the acid secretion from the pancreas (this may be due to increased stomach acid secretion). Nexium 40mg/5ml increases the amount of acid that is released by the stomach and causes the pancreas to become less sensitive to the effects of stomach acid. This makes Nexium 40mg/5ml effective for proton-pump inhibitors (PPIs) such as Nexium.
Esomeprazole is indicated for the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and post-operative proton pump inhibitor-associated diarrhea.
The recommended dosage is 1-2 mg per day, depending on the condition being treated.
You should take this dose only when you suspect that you are suffering from GERD or post-operative proton pump inhibitor-associated diarrhea.
